Sunday (9/6/09), there are 34 seats available.
Saturday night (9/5/09), there are 35 seats available on our buses.

I know it's long, but please read this entire post - there is a lot of information here that you need to know before booking your trip.

You will need to register with the hotel directly and then register with us for your bus fare (read below for full information). Please be advised that you if book your rooms in a hotel other than the Renaissance (on 9th St),the Marriott Wardman Park, or the Marriott Crystal Gateway, you may have to take the Metro to your hotel from Union Square Station as that is where the bus is parking. Those are the only 3 hotels on our approved itinerary from the bus company at this time, and we are trying to make the trip as easy as possible for all involved.

If you prefer to fly, check out this link http://guest.cvent.com/EVENTS/Info/Custom.aspx?cid=20&e=5ba072d3-891d-494d-9cfa-3b2c73399c53 for more info on how to save an additional 10% off of the lowest fares for AirTran.

Group Bus Trip Info

Before you book your hotel, please register for your bus trip here: Bus Registration Please do this before booking your hotel to be sure that you have a seat on the bus. The bus fare is $175 per person. The form will not accept any more registrations once the bus is full.

After you have a seat on the bus, then make your hotel reservation. You need to book the hotel for the nights of 9/11 and 9/12. Please book a hotel that is close to a metro station so that you are able to get to your hotel from Union Square. Due to the large number of different hotels that could be booked, this seems the only way to get people to their hotels after the original 3. There may still be rooms available at one of those 3 - just not at the reduced prices. The three hotels the bus will stop at are the Renaissance Washington, the Marriott Wardman-Park, and the Marriott Crystal Gateway. Again, you can make a resv at another hotel, but you will need to plan on using the metro system to get to your hotel.

After you have a hotel room, please send your check for $175 per person to the Golden Isles TEA Party Patriots, PO Box 20412, St. Simons Is., GA 31522.

Georgia
: We will be leaving on 9/11 from Brunswick at 6am. We are also able to pick people up in Savannah - but you can also book with the Savannah group that is going up. You can contact Elizabeth and find out more information information on the GA March on DC District 1 site. We have arranged parking near I-95 in Savannah.

Florida: We have spoken with our bus company, and because the bus will be originating in Jax, they have agreed to allow us to pick up passengers from Jax at no extra charge. If you will be joining us in Jax, FL, please put that in the comments section of the form. We will be leaving at 4:30am from Jax, and the pick-up location is close to the airport. If you are near Tallahassee, please call 850 926 9254 or email dolphinruntoo@gmail.com for details on an additional bus that has been added from Tallahassee.

We will e-mail exact parking spot information after we have received your fare as we do not want to publicize this information.

For traveling around while in DC, we will be making use of the Metro System. Once the buses are parked at Union Square, they will not be going out again until it is time to pick-up the passengers to leave DC on Sunday at 10am.

If you have any questions, please e-mail goldenislesteaparty@gmail.com
